Anniversary MiningWorldCentralAsia 2014 phenomenon: all outdoor display space sold out 11 months prior to the event
Within Iteca’s industrial events portfolio, the mining and metallurgy exhibition (MiningWorldCentralAsia) holds both a worthy place in terms of size (rating second after KIOGE oil and gas trade show) and the first place in growth rates (with annual 20% to 30% increase in the exhibition space over the last 5 years).
MiningWorldCentralAsia 2014 became phenomenal for all its outdoor display stands being sold out as early as October 2013 – that is, 11 months prior to the event.
It will be recalled that last year the MiningWorldCentralAsia, Kazcomak and KazMet trade shows (traditionally sharing the same space) housed, for the firth time ever, a record number of exhibitors – nearly 400 companies from 26 countries of the world within 4 exhibition halls of the Atakent Exhibition Center plus outdoor space. Moreover, the outdoor space around the exhibition halls hosted an unprecedented number of sizeable machinery (82 units).
"The exhibitors of the MiningWorldCentralAsia and Kazcomak always prefer to book their stand space in advance but this time all expectations were exceeded by far, with a huge amount of contracts signed 11 months before the show. Not only did Hyundai Commercial Center Kazakhstan and AdianaMachinery book record-size areas of 500 and 450 sq. m, respectively, but all outdoor space was completely sold out by that time. Such intense interest undoubtedly reflects the high local and international status of the event and warrants that, in the coming year of its 20th anniversary, MiningWorldCentralAsia will offer a wide-ranging, interesting and informative exposition to its exhibitors and visitors", says Exhibition Manager Yulia Palagutina." Of course, in the year of this important and prestigious anniversary, the exposition will be complemented by a series of special events that will be announced at a later date".
Quite obviously, the show reflects the market and the industry as a whole. Currently, Kazakhstan is going through a period of industrial development and industrial upsurge that become apparent through implementation of the State Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development. According to the Ministry of Industry and Innovative Technologies of the RK, over 600 Industrial Development Map projects were put into operation in Kazakhstan between 2010 and 2013, 125 of them in 2013. More than 60 industrial facilities exported their products for a total of KZT 126 billion. The sales geography has expanded to 120 countries. Kazakhstan exports transformers, bearings, metal tubing and other products.
