On 19 September 2012, MiningWorld Central Asia, KazMet and KazComak (the largest events on Mining, Metallurgy and Road Industrial Construction in Central Asia and Kazakhstan) are launched in Almaty within Atakent International Exhibition Centre.
The unfailing organisers of the events are Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company jointly with its international partners from Germany, UK, China, and Turkey. The General Sponsor of MiningWorld Central Asia 2012 is Dow. The Official Sponsor of the event is Chetra.
Every year, the exhibition in Almaty offers mining and metallurgical industry professionals an opportunity to find all equipment and technologies of interest, learn about innovations, meet partners, and establish new business contacts. It has been a long-standing tradition for mining and metallurgical industry specialists to attend MiningWorld Central Asia. This year’s event is not an exception. The organisers and exhibitors present an extensive display. For the first time historically, the display takes four exhibition pavilions (9, 9А, 9В, and 9С). In addition, a wide variety of machinery will be presented to guests and exhibitors in an outdoor area.
In 2012, there are 360 exhibitors participating in the event (300 companies with stands and 60 companies remotely, represented in the event’s catalogue or by presenting their handouts). For the first time ever, the geography of exhibiting companies covers 29 countries: Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italia, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of South Africa, Poland, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, and USA. Notably, the level of the event will be underpinned once again by an international exhibition audit according to the UFI standards.
The total exhibition area covers 9,500 sq. m. As compared to the last year, a 24% growth in the number of exhibitors and a 15% growth in the exhibition area is reported. The number of visitors is expected to exceed 3,500 specialists.
Local companies, representing local equipment designs and technologies for mining and metallurgy at their stands, make a dominating 33% share among the exhibitors. Along with that, all major enterprises and companies of Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgical sector are delegating official missions headed by CEOs and detach procurement managers for participation in the proceedings of MiningWorld Central Asia, KazMet and KazComak 2012.
National stands are presented by Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, and France at the exhibition. Chinese, German, Ukrainian, and Russian companies are taking part on a large scale (the collective participation was organised by the Urals Chamber of Industry and Commerce).
The breakdown of exhibitors according to the number of companies by countries may be set out as follows: Kazakhstan (33.3% of the total number of exhibitors), Russia (25.0%), China (11.4%), Czech Republic (3.9%), Germany (3.3%), Ukraine and France (3.1% each), and Austria (2.5%). The newcomer countries include the Republic of South Africa, Serbia, and Thailand. For the first time, an outdoor area external to the pavilions will host an exhibition of a record number of large-size machinery, more than 78 units, from Belarus, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Turkey, and USA.
Besides machinery innovations, the visitors of the event will have a unique opportunity to study and test, immediately at the exhibition site, some varieties of ores from specific deposits using an innovative technology of grab X-ray radiometric separation. Some of the exhibited novelties are available on the event’s official website at www.miningworld.kz/ru/new.
In order to ensure that the exhibitors and guests who arrived to attend the event spend their time in the most efficient manner, the exhibition involves a tough business programme, which will be for the first time arranged in two seminar rooms at Pavilion No. 9.
