Kazakhstan seeks gold
In the coming years, they plan to attract about 311 million tenge for the exploration of gold deposits. This was reported in the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.
Prospecting is currently underway in the Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Zhambyl, and Kostanay regions. It is noted that these works are planned to be carried out until 2025 inclusively.
“The total cost of each project implemented jointly with partners varies from 500 million tenge to 2 billion tenge depending on the study of the site and the planned types of work. In the coming years, it is planned to attract investments of about 311 million tenge,” the department added.
Meanwhile, last year foreign investors invested 235 million tenge. For the exploration of gold, deposits attracted Russian and Turkish companies.
Earlier, the ministry said that in Kazakhstan in three regions gold deposits can be discovered. In particular, significant prospects for gold deposits have the area of Kostanay region, the territory between Central and Eastern Kazakhstan, the southern part of the country adjacent to Kyrgyzstan.
In the Karaganda region, over 397 million tenge is invested in the exploration of gold-bearing ores and associated components. In Almaty region for the exploration of gold will attract 454.4 million tenge. In addition, the LS edition found out in which regions the Turkish investor is conducting exploration work.
