Kazakhstan starts development of major-size tin deposit

In the North Kazakhstan region, this year works start on the largest tin deposit Syrymbet. The region’s governor Kumar Aksakalov said at the reporting meeting with the population that exploitation of the only in Kazakhstan and the largest in Central Asia tin deposit Syrymbet in Aiyrtau district had been carried out for many years.

"Just recently, an investor - Tin One Mining company - confirmed that stripping work will begin in May. This year's investment will amount to 4 billion tenge. Full commissioning of the project will be completed in 2021 with a total investment of 100 billion tenge. This will be a great success for of our region," said Aksakalov.

With the participation of foreign investors, he went on to say, the company Tielin Logistics Invest started projects for the production of animal feed and woodworking, and the construction of a wheat processing plant KAZMEAL LLP. On the basis of the former Kalinin plant, idling for many years, the company PP Solutions will create a modern data center.

"We allocate funds for the restoration of idle facilities in the industrial zone, which will be offered on favorable terms to investors. Today, 7 large investment projects are being developed, which is 2 years will attract more than 80 billion tenge to the regional economy and create over 1.5 thousand new jobs "- said Kumar Aksakalov.

In 2018, the volume of investment in the region increased by 8.1%, reaching 212 billion tenge.
